The history of the La Villa des Anges hotel is essentially the captivating tale of its owners, which explains why it is presented as a family establishment.

Indeed, Norbert and Sylvie have run this charming hotel in Grimaud since 2009, after acquiring it in 2008 and devoting a year to its renovation. Their search resulted in an ideal location, nestled between Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Thus, not only does the hotel benefit from a strategic geographical location, close to these two popular destinations, but it also offers a warm setting, the result of the commitment of Norbert and Sylvie in the renovation of the establishment, thus creating a friendly and authentic atmosphere for their visitors.

For total immersion, who better than the owner of the place, in this case Madame Sylvie Papo, to tell the story of her family.

“The daughter of a Bulgarian father and a mother of Spanish origin, I owned the restaurant “Le piano sur le sidewalk” in Paris, in the Marais, where me and my staff sang constantly. This is where I met Norbert, my husband, around twenty years ago, because he too was a professional musician and came to play in the restaurant. Norbert played piano, guitar and bass, he sang and composed.

In 2008, we decided to change our lives and acquire a hotel in the Var, La Villa des Anges. Originally, my retired parents sold their house to settle in Grimaud. So I followed them after selling the restaurant. From there, we began the search for an establishment that met our expectations.”
